Ohmygodohmygod!!!  Everyone is acting REALLY WEIRD right now!

But I have an explanation!  COSMIC RAYS FROM SPACE are bombarding the island and changing everyone's behavior.  It'll be okay if we just build a magic metal dome to cover the island until the cosmic storm is over!  We need to get to work!  Quickly!  Before I or some of the really nice super powerful people around here turn evil or something!

Maybe metal reflects it? I don't know. I was trying to think of something strong enough to build a dome around the entire island, and then expecting someone to like...
