Yeaah... I sleep in one day, wake up, and now my shoes are talking to me. Great.

I have no idea what to do for them. At least the stopped asking for stuff when I told them I couldn't get them for her.

Well, if it's your equipment, then it should obey any orders you give it. So, you could just order them not to speak.

I'm not really bothered by it; it's kinda cool actually. I just about never expected it.

Besides, that sounds kinda mean. I wouldn't like it if it told me to shush.

I don't think it's a matter of being mean or nice. If a superior ordered me to do something, I'd do it without complaint.

Of course not. Letting personal feelings get in the way of following orders would lead to a breakdown of the chain of command.

I'm almost certain I was a soldier. I've at least had... extensive military training.
